Prohibition of Muslim Practices Is a Recurring Theme in Danish Politics

The new calendar year has already started off with a list of proposals for limiting the Muslims in the practice of Islam in Denmark. Much has been followed through by laws and prohibitions, as the Danish campaigns for elections in fall 2026 are expected to be more of the same of competing for who can spout the most hateful rhetoric and enact the most hateful laws against Muslims.

Comment:

Prohibition of gender-segregated swimming, prohibition against renting public halls and rooms for Muslim conferences or Eid prayer if they are gender-segregated, closing of university prayer rooms, have been put in effect. These are well-known practices and considerations in the daily life of a Muslim, and they are therefore a problem under an intolerant government keen on cracking down on Muslim life.

In addition, the Danish government politicians are targeting Islamic marriage contracts conducted by imams, and cousin marriages practiced by some Muslims is also being targeted as a legitimate Islamic practice.

All of these proposals and laws are means to pressure and force Muslims into compliance and being scapegoated unless they submit to the Danish government demands of assimilation in Western culture.

What they are offering is a culture ridden with problems and societal illnesses best exemplified in the harrowing statistics of abuse against women and exploiting and objectifying women while they claim to be protectors of women's rights.

The same values are undermined when they are unable to tolerate the Muslims holding on to values of Hayaa or even holding on to prayer in the universities where knowledge and enlightenment is supposedly valued.

Laws and restrictions against Muslims are coated in the claim of the Western culture being a benefactor when in fact it is responsible for oppression around the globe in the name of liberal Capitalism. A liberal Capitalist order, supported by Denmark as a loyal ally to the US. A world order in full decline politically with the US at the wheel, and a moral decay personified in the ongoing Epstein scandal and the elites involved.

These attempts at forcing Islam out of Muslims have been, and always will be futile, because Islam offers a civilisation and a way of life with honor, dignity, and meaning, something the world and especially the Western peoples are in dire need of.
