Memorandum of Objection "KL Headline Season 2026"

HTM Submits Memorandum Objecting to "KL Headline Season 2026": Ministry Representative Assures Delivery to the Minister

June 16 - Hizb ut Tahrir Malaysia (HTM) submitted a Memorandum of Objection regarding the organization of "KL Headline Season 2026" to the Ministry of Communications in Putrajaya today.

This step was taken to urge the government to immediately cancel the event, which will cause significant harm to society and blatantly violating Islamic law.

The memorandum was received by Puan Wan Saidatul Shafina Binti Mohd Amin, the Secretary of the Strategic Communications and Corporate Division, representing the Ministry. She took the time to listen to the comprehensive explanation and the details of the objection presented by HTM.

In the memorandum, HTM outlined five primary reasons why the organization of these mega concerts must be immediately cancelled by the ministry:

- It represents a culture of hedonism and the Western’s way of life.

- It invites the wrath and punishment of Allah (swt).

- It generates forbidden (Haram) income for the country.

- It constitutes a betrayal of trust (of Allah) by the government.

- It demonstrates a loss of sensitivity and empathy toward Gaza.

In her response, Syafina provided assurance that she would directly deliver this Memorandum of Objection to the Minister. She also stated that the ministry would review the objection and provide an appropriate response.

The HTM delegation, led by its Spokesperson, Ustadh Abdul Hakim Othman, and accompanied by three others, subsequently held a press conference immediately after the submission to clarify the proceedings.

Ustadh Hakim explained that HTM plans to mobilize a series of other activities to continue pressuring the authorities to cancel the mega concerts. He stressed that this event is not a trivial matter, but rather a blatant act of vice, disobedience, and a violation of Islamic law that cannot simply be ignored.
