Hizb ut Tahrir's Speech in the Blessed Land of Palestine
Delivered in front of the Egyptian Consulate in Ramallah
(Translated)
Praise be to Allah, Lord of the Worlds, and peace and blessings be upon the Messenger of Allah, his family, his companions, and those who follow him.
Our People and Brothers in Egypt, the land of Kinanah... O great Egyptian army, conqueror of the Crusaders and Tatars:
Our homes have been demolished, hospitals have been destroyed, schools have been bombed, tents have been burned, mosques have been razed to the ground, and we have been killed while kneeling and prostrating (in prayer). So, what next?
The enemies of Allah, the Jews, are asking us to surrender, be humiliated, and give up the place of our Prophet's Masra (Night Journey). So, what will you do?
Have the Sykes-Picot borders become more sacred than Al-Aqsa Mosque?! Have the borders drawn by our enemies become more sacred than Islam?! Are those borders more precious to you than the blood of Muslims?!
O our People and Brothers: Do you enjoy living while your brothers are being killed, starved, and denied even a drink of water?!
The state of Egypt today is the same as it was when the Crusaders were in Palestine. The liberation of Al-Aqsa Mosque and the purification of the Blessed Land from the filth of the Jews can only be achieved by liberating Egypt from the likes of Dhurgham and Shawar. Today, Egypt needs a divine leader who will renew the legacy of Salahuddin, so that the Egyptian army can once again attain the honour of liberating Al-Aqsa Mosque, just as it did before at Hattin and Ain Jalut.
O People of Egypt and its Noble Soldiers: If we had known that the Egyptian regime would be moved by words and driven by chivalry to aid Gaza and its people, we would have sent the letter to the Egyptian embassy and delivered it to them. But you know, as we do, that the Egyptian regime is a partner in the siege of Gaza, along with the Jews. It is not of your race, nor does it possess your chivalry, nor does it represent you in any way. Therefore, we have overlooked it and considered it nonexistent. We are sending our letter from outside the embassy to the people of Egypt, not to the criminal regime.
Liberating Al-Aqsa Mosque is a great honour that cowards and collaborators cannot attain. Supporting the oppressed and aiding the distressed cannot be undertaken by someone who has empowered Al-Arjani over the people of Gaza; who takes royalties from them. Nor by someone who has shackled the Egyptian army, instilled fear within it, and prevented it from striving in the cause of Allah and supporting its brothers.
The liberation of Al-Aqsa Mosque can only be achieved by a leader who incites the believers to jihad in the cause of Allah, who charges the army with strength, determination, and belief, and who mobilizes the Ummah to support the Deen and eradicate all forms of corruption.
Jihad to liberate the place of the Prophet's Night Journey (saw) is one of the most urgent duties. It is the path to salvation from painful torment, the path to forgiveness and entry into Paradise, and the path to victory and imminent conquest. So, strengthen your resolve, be determined, and march towards glory. Do not pay attention to the fatwas of rulers or the misleading media. Remove the shackles of your rulers and do not fear the colonialists. You have Allah’s Book, and with the call of Allah we call upon you.
“O believers! What is the matter with you that when you are asked to march forth in the cause of Allah, you cling firmly to ˹your˺ land?1 Do you prefer the life of this world over the Hereafter? The enjoyment of this worldly life is insignificant compared to that of the Hereafter * If you do not march forth, He will afflict you with a painful torment and replace you with other people. You are not harming Him in the least. And Allah is Most Capable of everything” [At-Tawbah: 38-39].
O Allah convey on our behalf this good, and open the hearts of Muslims to obey You and support Your Deen.
Praise be to Allah, Lord of the Worlds.
