Has the Blood of the People of Gaza Become Insignificant to the Ummah of Islam?
(Translated)

The Government Media Office in Gaza reported on Wednesday, May 7, 2025, that 102 people were killed and 193 others wounded, as a result of a series of massacres committed by the Jewish entity in the Gaza Strip. The attack targeted Abu Hamisa School in Al-Bureij Camp and the Manasra Camp for the displaced people in Deir al-Balah, both in the Central Governorate. It also targeted Al-Karama School, the Thai Restaurant, and its surrounding area, which was crowded with civilians, both in the Gaza Governorate.

We are counting dozens, even hundreds, of martyrs in Gaza every day, some of them unidentified remains. In some massacres, the remains are collected in body bags and the bodies are counted by weight: 70 kilograms for an adult and 18 kg for a child! According to the Government Media Office, 100,000 tons of explosives have been dropped on Gaza since the start of the war of extermination on the Gaza Strip 19 months ago, resulting in the martyrdom or disappearance of more than 62,000 people and the perpetration of more than 12,000 massacres.

Have the people of Gaza become mere numbers?! Have we lost all value and significance to this extent? Has the blood of Muslims become so cheap?! Have this blood, these body parts, and this large number of martyrs became insignificant to the Ummah of Islam, even though the sanctity of this blood is greater in the sight of Allah than the sanctity of the Kaaba?! The Prophet (saw) said in the hadith narrated by Ibn Umar, where he said: I saw the Messenger of Allah (saw) circumambulating the Kaaba and saying:

«مَا أَطْيَبَكِ وَأَطْيَبَ رِيحَكِ! مَا أَعْظَمَكِ وَأَعْظَمَ حُرْمَتَكِ! وَالَّذِي نَفْسُ مُحَمَّدٍ بِيَدِهِ لَحُرْمَةُ الْمُؤْمِنِ أَعْظَمُ عِنْدَ اللهِ حُرْمَةً مِنْكِ؛ مَالِهِ وَدَمِهِ وَأَنْ نَظُنَّ بِهِ إِلَّا خَيْراً»

“How fragrant you are and how pleasant your scent is! How great you are and how great your sanctity is! By the One in Whose hand is the soul of Muhammad, the sanctity of the believer is greater in the sight of Allah than you: his wealth, his blood, and that we should think of him only good.” [Narrated by Ibn Maja]. Likewise, what was narrated by Ibn Abbas, where he said: When the Messenger of Allah (saw) looked at the Kaaba, he said: «مَرْحَباً بِكِ مِنْ بَيْتٍ، مَا أَعْظَمَكِ وَأَعْظَمَ حُرْمَتَكِ، وَلَلْمُؤْمِنُ أَعْظَمُ حُرْمَةَ عِنْدَ اللهِ مِنْكِ»“O House! How great you are and how great is your sanctity! The believer has greater sanctity before God than you.” [Narrated by Al-Bayhaqi].

O Muslims: Today, the people of Gaza are being slaughtered by tanks and aircraft, and brutal crimes and massacres are being committed against them live on air in full view of the whole world. Hunger is killing them just as bombs and missiles killed them, until dozens of them died of hunger. So, what are you waiting for before you move to support them?! Are you waiting for the people of Gaza to be annihilated, and then there will be no time for regret?! Are we not and them brothers in religion and faith?

[إِنَّمَا الْمُؤْمِنُونَ إِخْوَةٌ]

“The believers are but one brotherhood” [TMQ Al-Hujarat:10]?! Has Allah not made it obligatory for us to support our oppressed brothers: ﴿وَإِنِ اسْتَنصَرُوكُمْ فِي الدِّينِ فَعَلَيْكُمُ النَّصْرُ﴾“And if they seek your help ˹against persecution˺ in faith, it is your obligation to help them”?! [TMQ Al-Anfal:72].

O sincere ones in the Muslim armies: Rescue the people of Gaza and all the people of the Blessed Land before it is too late, and seize yourselves before Allah’s punishment befalls you in this world and the Hereafter.

[وَإِن تَتَوَلَّوْا يَسْتَبْدِلْ قَوْماً غَيْرَكُمْ ثُمَّ لَا يَكُونُوا أَمْثَالَكُم]

“And if you ˹still˺ turn away, He will replace you with another people. And they will not be like you.” [TMQ Muhammad: 38].
