Gaza is being Annihilated Meanwhile the Mufti of Egypt Condemns!
Sharia is not to be Suspended, Jihad is not to be Delayed, and Positions are not to be taken from the West but inspired by Divine Revelation
(Translated)
In a scene that is repeated daily since the brutal aggression on Gaza, the Jewish entity committed a horrific massacre in the Shuja'iyya neighborhood, claiming the lives of dozens of innocent children, women, and elderly. Instead of a response from Egypt’s officials and scholars that matches the gravity of the tragedy, the Mufti of Egypt, Nazir Muhammad ‘Ayyad, issued a statement “condemning” the crime. He merely described the ugliness of the occupation and deferred responsibility to the “international community” and “living consciences”, as if jihad has been abrogated or the blood of Muslims is worth no more than statements of condemnation and appeals!
We in Hizb ut Tahrir / Wilayah Egypt affirm that condemnation does not replace obligation. Jihad is a religious duty, and what is happening in Gaza and across Palestine requires not statements or denunciations, but armies that march, weapons raised, and leadership that commands and executes. Jihad is not a political option; it is an obligation in Islam, especially when part of Muslim land is usurped. Allah Almighty says:
[وَإِنِ اسْتَنصَرُوكُمْ فِي الدِّينِ فَعَلَيْكُمُ النَّصْرُ]
“And if they seek help of you for the religion, then you must help” [Surat Al-Anfal:72]. And the Prophet Muhammad (saw) said:
«رَأْسُ الْأَمْرِ الْإِسْلَامُ، وَعَمُودُهُ الصَّلَاةُ، وَذُرْوَةُ سَنَامِهِ الْجِهَادُ فِي سَبِيلِ اللهِ»
“The head of the matter is Islam, its support is prayer, and the top of its hump is jihad.”
So where is the jurisprudence of jihad in the Mufti’s speech? Where is the mention of the obligation to fight the enemy occupying our land and killing our women and children?
It has become shameful to hear those assumed to be scholars referring matters to “international law” and “the conscience of humanity”, knowing well that this conscience is dead, and that this law recognizes only the power of the oppressor and the support of the arrogant. Imam Nawawi said: “If the disbelievers descend upon a land, its people must fight and repel them by any means possible. This is agreed upon without dispute.”(Rawdat al-Talibin 10/216)
So how can a statement come out from Dar al-Ifta (the Fatwa House) with no mention of jihad, no call for mobilizing armies, not even a word about the treacherous rulers who block aid to Gaza, close the crossings, and supply the Jewish entity with gas, water, and electricity?
The Mufti spoke of “humanity”, “international justice”, and “living consciences”, as if we are a ummah without deen, as if Sharia has disappeared, and as if liberating Palestine is a matter for the United Nations and not a duty of the Islamic Ummah!
The issue of Palestine is a matter of faith, a land of Islam that has been usurped, a Muslim people being annihilated, and a kafir (disbelieving) criminal occupier. This issue can only be resolved by jihad, and the oppression of the Jews will only end by the movement of armies.
O Scholars, Muftis, Sheikhs of Al-Azhar, and Scholars of Egypt: Fear Allah in your Deen. Do not be the mouthpiece of rulers who have sold the land and neglected the honor. Make it clear to the people that jihad is a duty, that supporting the Muslims in Gaza is a duty, and that anyone who prevents it is a sinner, a traitor to Allah, His Messenger, and the believers. Do not cloak falsehood in the garb of Sharia, lest you be among those of whom Allah says:
[وَإِذَا قِيلَ لَهُمْ لَا تُفْسِدُوا فِي الْأَرْضِ قَالُوا إِنَّمَا نَحْنُ مُصْلِحُونَ]
“And when it is said to them, "Do not cause corruption on the earth," they say, "We are but reformers”. [Surat Al-Baqara:11].
O People of the Islamic Ummah: Do not be deceived by misleading speeches. Do not surrender your minds to those who mix truth with falsehood. Work with those striving to establish the Khilafah Rashidah (rightly guided Caliphate) on the method of Prophethood, for it alone will unite the ranks, gather the armies, and drive them to fulfill the commands of Allah, to liberate Palestine and all occupied Muslim lands.
O Muslims in Egypt and around the world: Enough waiting, enough weeping, enough condemnations... Allah will ask you what you did, will ask you about this deen, about Al-Aqsa Mosque, and about the people of Gaza, so prepare an answer.
O Soldiers of Islam: O shield of the Ummah, O those entrusted with power and strength, you who swore to protect the land, honor, and faith, hasn’t the time come for you to respond to the call of creed? Hasn’t the time come for you to rise to lift the oppression from the vulnerable in Gaza? Hasn’t the time come to break the colonial chains imposed by the disbelieving West, which separated you from your Ummah and diverted your focus from liberating Al-Aqsa and aiding your brothers?
By Allah, you are capable of breaking these chains, of toppling the thrones of tyranny, and of overthrowing the regimes of betrayal that halted jihad, besieged the people of Gaza, opened crossings for the soldiers of the Jews to kill women and children, and tightened the noose on Gaza in the name of “sovereignty” and “border security”!
O Noble Soldiers of Egypt (the Land of Kinana): Among you are those like Khalid ibn al-Walid, Salah al-Din, and Saif ad-Din Qutuz. Have you forgotten your glorious history? Have you forgotten the day you crossed the canal and your enemy trembled? Is it not time now to cross for the aid of Al-Aqsa and Gaza? Would your Lord be pleased that your strength is used to protect the Jewish entity and prevent arms and food from reaching those on the front lines?
Remember when Qutuz gathered his companions and reminded them of their duty toward Islam, saying: “If not us, then who will fight for Islam?” So who will fight for Islam if not you? Who will aid it but you? Who will stand with your oppressed brothers but you?
The people of Gaza today are oppressed, being annihilated, crying for help, and after Allah, they have no one but you.
O Soldiers of the Ummah: Fear Allah regarding your religion, your sacred places, and your brothers. Your Deen calls you, Al-Aqsa cries for you, the blood of children calls your manhood—will you not respond? Will you not be the supporters of truth in a time of betrayal?
Do not say the matter lies in the hands of the rulers—for these are traitors who conspired against the Ummah, betrayed Allah and His Messenger, and diverted the armies from honorable battles to guarding oppressive regimes. Bringing them down is a religious obligation, and supporting the Ummah is a trust that Allah will not excuse your negligence of.
“And what is [the matter] with you that you fight not in the cause of Allah and [for] the oppressed among men, women, and children” [TMQ 4:75].
Be with Allah and He will be with you. Move with the intention of elevating His Word, and the outcome will be yours. We are certain that victory will only come through your hands, by Allah’s will, when you overthrow the treacherous regimes and give bayah (pledge allegiance) to a Khalifah (Caliph) who will lead you to liberate Palestine and all Muslim lands, and the Ummah will return to being one Ummah, and the call to prayer will rise again from the walls of the Quds, under the banner of Al-‘Uqab—the banner of “La ilaha illa Allah Muhammad Rasool Allah.
O Allah, use them and do not replace them, ignite the flame of faith in their hearts, fill their chests with the determination for victory, and grant us the joy of seeing their tanks cross the borders of disgrace to break the chains on Al-Aqsa, and may their Takbeer echo from the walls of Gaza. And then... those who wronged will know the end they will face. Allahu Akbar, and all glory belongs to Allah, His Messenger, and the believers.
