Following the confirmed sighting of the crescent moon of Shawwal, Thursday, 19 March 2026, will be the day of the blessed Eid al-Fitr. May your good deeds be accepted, and may you be well every year.

After the confirmed sighting of the crescent moon of Shawwal by a large number of Muslims in several Muslim countries, and in accordance with the Hadith of the Messenger of Allah (saw): «صُومُوا لِرُؤْيَتِهِ وَأَفْطِرُوا لِرُؤْيَتِهِ»“Fast when you see it (the crescent moon) and break your fast when you see it,” which establishes that the beginning and end of fasting are based on sighting, not on geographical differences, Hizb ut Tahrir / Wilayah of Tunisia announces that Thursday, 19 March 2026, is the first day of Shawwal.

On this blessed occasion, the party congratulates the Muslim Ummah in general and our people in Tunisia in particular on the arrival of Eid al-Fitr, asking Allah (swt) to accept their acts of worship and to unite them under a just leader, within a Khilafah Rashidah (Rightly Guided Caliphate) on the method of the Prophethood, which will remove colonial borders, unify the energies of the Ummah, and make it a strong and powerful Ummah through Islam and Islamic rule.
