بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم
Hizb ut Tahrir / Wilayah of Sudan has intensified its public activities over recent months, urging the Ummah to work alongside it to establish the magnificent edifice of Islam—the Khilafah Rashidah (Rightly Guided Caliphate) upon the methodology of the Prophethood. The most prominent actions and activities carried out by Hizb ut Tahrir in the Wilayah of Sudan during May 2026 were as follows:
1. Europe’s Attempts to Enter the Sudanese Political Scene:
Since the outbreak of the fabricated American-instigated war in Sudan, Europe has been actively engaged in efforts to halt it. Moreover, it is attempting to insert its own agents as partners into Sudan's political landscape. To this end, it has convened several conferences in various European capitals—including London, Paris, and Geneva—the most recent of which was held in Berlin in April 2026, hosted by the German Ministry of Foreign Affairs. In response, the Official Spokesperson for Hizb ut Tahrir in the Wilayah of Sudan held a press conference to expose the true nature of the international struggle for influence in Sudan. He revealed that Europe is neither a charitable organization nor is it genuinely concerned for the welfare of the people of Sudan or the suffering they endure as a result of this senseless war. Rather, its true objective is to wrest power from the military—who serve as America’s proxies—and transfer it to its own agents within the civilian political forces. This agenda is clearly evident in their final communiqués; for instance, during the recent Berlin conference, they declared that this "civilian track" represents a fundamental step toward a comprehensive political transition. However, America’s cunning machinations continue to thwart these attempts.
2. The "Marshall Plan" in Sudan:
On Saturday, April 18, 2026, during a meeting with journalists in Khartoum, Sudanese Prime Minister Kamil Idris announced that the government is preparing to launch a package of strategic projects—spearheaded by the "Sudan Marshall Plan"—aimed at reconstructing what has been destroyed by the war. Commenting on this statement, the Assistant Official Spokesperson for Hizb ut Tahrir in Wilayah Sudan, Muhammad Jami’ Abu Ayman, wrote: "The government speaks with utter audacity about handing Khartoum over to American companies." He added, "The ruling leaders in Sudan have, in recent days, persisted in demonstrating their subservience to America and are desperately striving to implement its agenda." He also drew attention to an op-ed written by Al-Burhan in "The Wall Street Journal" on November 26, 2025, in which Al-Burhan stated: "Sudan seeks to become a strong partner to the United States after the war, contributing to regional stability, counterterrorism, and the reconstruction of devastated cities, with American companies playing a key role in rebuilding." Furthermore, he warned against the evils of America and the perils of relying upon it, describing it as: "A malevolent state that sucks the blood of the poor with complete indifference."
3. The Repercussions of the War in Sudan
Regarding the repercussions of the war in Sudan, the Media Office of Hizb ut Tahrir in Wilayah Sudan hosted Nasser Rida—Head of the Central Communications Committee for the Wilayah of Sudan — for a discussion titled: "The War Enters Its Fourth Year... Whither Sudan?" In this session, he addressed the catastrophic economic consequences of the conflict, the prevailing situation on the ground, and the ongoing cycle of skirmishes and shifting frontlines, noting the complete absence of any indications pointing toward a decisive military resolution to the war. He warned against the "Somalization" of Sudan, given the proliferation of militias—now numbering 110 armed groups—that operate outside the control of the military establishment. He asserted that this situation inevitably leads to such a fate, particularly after the emergence of a "Libyan-style scenario" in Sudan has been confirmed.
4. Waves of Soaring Prices and the Stance of Hizb ut Tahrir / Sudan Wilayah
As the government persists in implementing capitalist economic policies—aligning itself closely with the prescriptions of international financial institutions—the country has been engulfed by a wave of exorbitant price hikes that have exceeded all expectations, most notably the sudden increase in electricity tariffs. In response, the official spokesperson for Hizb ut Tahrir in Wilayah Sudan issued a press statement, likening the government's actions to those of a thief stealing in the dead of night, while simultaneously outlining how Islam addresses the management of public properties, such as electricity and similar resources. Furthermore, on May 2, 2026, the Media Office of Hizb ut Tahrir in the Wilayah of Sudan held its monthly forum. The event addressed the topic: "Waves of Inflation, the Ineffectiveness of Government Policies, and the Handling of Islam." During the forum, the office exposed the underlying causes of rising prices and highlighted the government's erratic approach in proposing ineffective remedies—policies that have only resulted in increased hardship. It further elucidated the prohibition against adopting solutions imported from the colonialist West, while presenting Islam’s comprehensive remedies for economic challenges—solutions that inevitably yield the definitive cure for economic issues and other societal ills.
Meanwhile, on May 16, 2026, Hizb ut Tahrir / Wilayah of Sudan held its periodic forum at its office in the city of Al-Qadarif. This session focused on the economic deterioration, the failures of economic policy in Sudan, and the administrative incompetence that has plagued this vital sector. The forum drew attention—substantiated by ample statistical data—to the country’s vast potential in agriculture, industry, and livestock resources. It demonstrated that these assets are more than sufficient to resolve the economic crisis, provided that a state is established upon the foundations of the magnificent Islamic system—a system designed to harness national wealth for the comprehensive care and welfare of the people.
5. Escalation of Drone Strikes and Targeting of Cities
The Rapid Support Forces (RSF) have intensified their drone attacks—launching them from areas under their control as well as from neighboring countries, particularly Ethiopia—following a period of relative calm and the relocation of the Council of Ministers to Khartoum. Consequently, the official spokesperson for Hizb ut-Tahrir issued a press statement warning against the pressures being exerted by agents of the United States—specifically the two warring parties—to secure the truce occasionally announced by Messad Boulos. Such a truce, the statement argued, merely entrenches a state of "no war, no peace" and would ultimately lead to an agreement to sever Darfur from the body politic of Sudan.
6.The President of the Sovereignty Council, Lieutenant General Al-Burhan, became highly active, embarking on a series of foreign tours in April 2026. During these tours, he visited Saudi Arabia, the Sultanate of Oman, Bahrain, and other nations. Concurrently, Prime Minister Kamil Idris paid a visit to the Vatican, followed by a trip to Britain. Hizb ut Tahrir / Wilayah of Sudan recognized the true significance of these foreign visits. Consequently, the party’s official spokesperson for Wilayah fo Sudan — Ustaadh Ibrahim Othman (Abu Khalil) —exposed the nature of this flurry of diplomatic activity, characterizing it as a struggle to confer legitimacy upon the government. He noted that European powers—particularly Britain—are attempting to wrest authority from the U.S.-aligned military establishment in favor of their own proxies. This dynamic was clearly evident during the Berlin Conference, led by former Prime Minister Hamdok, who continues to market himself as the legitimate representative of Sudan. The spokesperson declared that this represents a long-standing, recurring Anglo-American conflict—one that will continue to rage unabated until the establishment of a principled state capable of bringing an end to this international struggle.
7. Ustaadh Nasser Rida, Head of the Central Communications Committee of Hizb ut Tahrir in the Wilayah of Sudan, is currently conducting a series of visits aimed at introducing the party and its objective: the resumption of the Islamic way of life through the establishment of the Khilafah (Caliphate) upon the methodology of the Prophethood. In this context, the Committee Head led a delegation to visit the General Emir of the Hausa tribe at his residence in the city of Kassala. The Emir affirmed the necessity of uniting the Ummah around the project of Islam, emphasizing the urgent need to renounce tribal partisanship.
8. Hizb ut Tahrir in the Wilayah of Sudan is conducting political addresses in markets and public spaces. Through these addresses, the party addresses the people's concerns, exposes the fallacy of current solutions, and effectively presents the Divine remedies brought forth by the magnificent religion of Islam.
