On 30 July, elections in Rajshahi, Barishal and Sylhet city corporations were held amid election boycott, allegations of rigging, ouster of polling agents, violence and other irregularities.

The Government has launched an operation to evict over 40,000 people from Mau Forest the largest drainage basin in Kenya with an area of 273,300 hectares (675,000 acres). A multi-party conference (MPC) called to devise a joint strategy over alleged rigging in the 2018 general elections on Friday rejected the results of the poll, demanding a "transparent" re-election.
