In these difficult and painful times, it is essential that we do not allow ourselves to fall into despair. The suffering we witness, particularly in Palestine, can feel overwhelming, but as Muslims we are taught that hardship is never without purpose and that oppression is never permanent. Rather than becoming defeated, we must hold firmly onto a clear vision and actively work towards it with patience, conviction, and sincerity.

 Here, reading is not merely perusing books or increasing one's knowledge, but rather a political education for a nation chosen to be a witness to all nations—a political education that instills in them the necessity of viewing the world and what is happening in it—that is, reading the world—from the perspective of Islamic doctrine.

Poverty, unemployment, obscene wealth concentrated in the hands of a small elite, devaluation of local currencies, removal of subsidies on basic goods, a decline in living standards, and unprecedented price hikes… this is the grim reality of the economy in our Muslim countries. The solutions always proposed to escape these crises are loans from the International Monetary Fund and the World Bank,
