Over the last 100 years, the Muslim lands have known nothing but darkness, death, destruction, destitution and despair. Slaughter, persecution, oppression, indignity and suffering has become woven into the fabric of the lives of the people in the region.

For over thirteen centuries, the Muslim World looked to fulfil this task. Under the Islamic Khilafah (Caliphate), the bay’ah (allegiance) was taken by the Sultan. The peoples’ disputes were settled by the judges based on the Shari’ah principles. The wealth was collected and distributed based on the Kharaj and Zakat, and the banner of Jihad was carried by the armies of Islam.

In 2017, the 34-year-old Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, also known as MBS, spent $450.3 million for Leonardo da Vinci’s 500-year-old painting ‘Salvator Mundi’ purchasing it through a proxy. He paid over $300 million for the Chateau Louis XIV, located in France, called “the world’s most expensive home” by Fortune Magazine.

Some believe that our collective pain and suffering around the world is not just inevitable, but an acceptable position for a believer. Our situation has made us believe that our honour and power only waits for us in the Akhirah and that strength and authority belongs to the disbelievers in this Dunya.
