Amidst the current purging and sidelining of officers who are opposed to the current army chief of Pakistan, came mention of Hizb ut Tahrir. The prominent Urdu paper the “Daily Jang,” reported on 13 August 2024, in its edition for the army city of Rawalpindi that, “(2011) Brigadier Ali Khan was court-martialed for having links with the extremist organization Hizb ut Tahrir.  He was also accused of spreading rebellion within the Pakistan Army.”

19/8/2024, Algerian President Abdelmadjid Tebboune called on Egypt to open the borders with the Gaza Strip to the Algerian army, in support of the residents of the Gaza Strip, and said: "I swear that as soon as possible we will send units there and rebuild what was destroyed," and he said: "The Algerian army is ready to go to Gaza and we are ready, we are just waiting for Egypt to open its borders to us."

 On 21 August 2024, Dawn newspaper reported, “According to a statement issued by state broadcaster PTV on social media platform X, the army chief said, “It is the responsibility of the state to keep the public away from the implications of social media-induced hysteria and fitna.”

US Vice President Kamala Harris stated, “"And let me be clear, I will always stand up for Israel's right to defend itself and I will always ensure Israel has the ability to defend itself... Because the people of Israel must never again face the horror that a terrorist organization called Hamas caused on October 7.”
