 Press Release
The OIC Women’s Conference: A Platform for Promoting Western Values and Remaining Silent in the Face of the Bloodshed of Muslim Women
(Translated)

Islamabad, Pakistan, is hosting the Ninth Session of the Ministerial Conference on Women of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation on 12 and 13 July 2026, with the participation of approximately 190 representatives from 57 countries. The conference, which is being held without any representative from the government of Afghanistan, is examining women’s education, empowerment, and participation.

This conference speaks of women’s empowerment at a time when Muslim women in Palestine’s West Bank face raids, arrests, forced displacement, and violence at the hands of the Jewish regime; women in Gaza are struggling to survive under bombardment, siege, and starvation; and China’s communist government, through the detention and sterilization of women, birth-control measures, and the imposition of marriages between women of East Turkestan and men from other Chinese ethnic groups, is pursuing the forced assimilation of the Uyghurs and the destruction of their Islamic and ethnic identity. Rohingya women are victims of killing, rape, displacement, and deprivation of citizenship. Muslim women in India, particularly in Assam and Kashmir, suffer from Hindutva repression and violence. Muslim women from Russia to Europe and America also face Islamophobia and restrictions on religious practice, especially bans on the hijab.

However, without taking a clear, firm, and practical position on the serious problems, violence, and suffering faced by Muslim women in different parts of the world, this conference seeks to turn the issue of women into an instrument of political pressure on the ruling authorities in Afghanistan. Such an approach shows that, for the organizers of this gathering, the issue of women is less a genuine humanitarian concern than a tool for advancing political objectives and imposing the standards favored by the international order. Therefore, the credibility of such conferences, therefore, should not be measured by speeches, declarations, ceremonial photographs, or the number of participants, but by decisive actions backed by enforceable guarantees.

The Organization of Islamic Cooperation, which was founded under the banner of defending Al-Aqsa Mosque and Palestine, has failed to defend the fundamental causes of the Islamic world effectively, despite the immense political, economic, military, and nuclear capabilities of its member states. Its record consists of nothing but theatrical meetings, ineffective speeches, repetitive statements, and hollow solutions.

For this reason, the conference evades the decisive issues that shape the destiny of the Ummah and, under the banner of “women’s empowerment,” prepares the ground for the imposition and promotion of secular Western values. After nearly 57 years of this organization’s failure, silence, and betrayal, the Ummah should expect no good from it. How can regimes that are incapable of defending Muslim lands, sacred sites, and the blood of Muslims solve the problems of Muslim women?

It is therefore obligatory to reject these imposed and failed agendas decisively. The Ummah must not place its hopes in nation-states, dependent rulers, or failed organizations. Rather, it must engage in a serious intellectual and political struggle to establish its own unified state—the Second Rightly Guided Caliphate (Khilafah Rashidah) upon the methodology of the Prophethood—a state that will liberate the Ummah from colonial domination, break down the imposed borders, and defend the lands, sacred sites, dignity, and rights of all Muslims, especially women.

[يَعِدُهُمْ وَيُمَنِّيهِمْ وَمَا يَعِدُهُمُ الشَّيْطَانُ إِلَّا غُرُورًا]

“Satan promises them and arouses desire in them. But Satan does not promise them except delusion.” [Surah An-Nisā’: 120].
