The Government is Working to Save the Indian Agents who Conspired in the Killing of Military Officer

Hizb ut-Tahrir in Bangladesh organized a protest rally today after Jummah prayers outside the national mosque against the conspiracy by India and her agents inside and outside the government in the killing of military officers and the arrests of 31 party members and activists for exposing the conspiracy.

Chief Coordinator and Official Spokesman of Hizb ut-Tahrir in Bangladesh Mohiuddin Ahmed delivered the speech at the rally. In his speech Mohiuddin Ahmed said that a careful analysis of the event at the BDR headquarters showed that the so-called mutiny was part of long-term plot and was carried out by India and her agents inside and outside the government.

We are now witnessing that the government is engaged in a ploy to save India and her agents who conspired the killing of military officers:

Firstly: The minister responsible for the negotiations revealed (!) to the nation that there was a big conspiracy and that crores of taka was spent to execute it. It is only prudent to say that the minister knew this information prior to the events (as the minister said it with full confidence only two days after the event while investigations hadn't even started yet) and that his motive for revealing this so-called information now is a part of the government's campaign to put the blame on other than the real conspirators.

Secondly: The Prime Minister is making various statements on the issue which are full of inconsistencies, whose aim is to confuse the minds of the people. For example she said in the parliament that the officers were killed by 11am; yet she failed to offer any explanation why she announced twice that the rebels will be given a general amnesty. She is also propagating that the mutiny was meant to undermine her government while the people are well aware that it was a plot to weaken the defence forces of the country.

Thirdly: The PM's advisor and son, Sajib Wajed Joy, said in an interview with Al-Jazeera that there were legitimate grievances behind the so-called BDR mutiny. This is nothing but an insult to the military officers who were brutally murdered in cold blood and whose family's were tortured and dishonoured. Furthermore it is an attempt to hide the truth just like the killers who were confusing the people in front of TV cameras with their so-called demands on the first day of the ‘mutiny'.

Furthermore the government is arresting the sincere members and activists of Hizb ut-Tahrir who are exposing the imperialist conspiracy to destroy the defence forces of the country. So far the government has arrested 31 party members and activists, taken many of them to police remand and is sending them to detention.

Mohiuddin Ahmed said the government is busy trying to hide the truth from the people and protect the conspirators. They are also looking for ways to involve the imperialists US, UK and the UN (who are vocal in their support for the government) in the investigations. We all know that they will never point the finger at the Indian enemy who stands to benefit most from weakening our defence forces. Therefore the truth will not be revealed from measures taken under pressure (from the people) by a government which serves India, Britain and the US who are conspiring to either destroy our defence forces or establish their control over them. It is only the Khilafah "Caliphate" which can protect the defence forces and mount a strong challenge to the enemies.

Therefore Hizb ut-Tahrir in Bangladesh urges the people to take the following steps:

• Protest against the government's ploy to save the conspirators
• Demand the release of the members and activists of Hizb ut-Tahrir in Bangladesh
• Rush forward to re-establish the Khilafah "Caliphate"which will unite the people and strengthen the defence forces to resist all belligerent states including US, India, and Britain.
