Press Release
The Brutal Killing of Sohag in Midford area of Capital Dhaka, is the Inevitable Result of the Godless and Crazy Secular Politics

In the Mitford area of Old Dhaka, some local leaders of the Jubo Dal, led by the country's largest secular political party BNP, brutally killed a scrap dealer named Sohag (39) by stabbing him and repeatedly hitting him with a large stone for refusing to pay extortion money. Eyewitnesses said that the criminals did not stop at just killing him, but continued to show barbarity on the lifeless body of Sohag even after his death was confirmed. The bloodied, frozen body was left in the middle of the road and killers stood over the body as maniac jubilation.

Not one, but several killers continued to hit the nose, mouth and chest of the dead body. These types of murders and madness have become a daily occurrence under the umbrella of secular politics for decades. Sohag's murder will be another example for the people to awakening against secular politics urgently. The flagship party of secular politics- Awami League had set numerous examples of madness during the past fifteen years of rule under the leadership of the fallen Hasina, including the brutal murders of Biswajit and Abrar Fahad.

Currently, BNP has already been able to set enough examples of following Hasina's footsteps. Because, the main life-lines of this secular politics invented by the West are money, muscle power and power, due to which power-hungry, senseless and corrupt monsters surround this politics. Secular politics means politics of self-interest - where there is nothing to do with fearing Allah (swt), facing judgment in the afterlife and attaining Paradise by attaining Allah's pleasure. Due to which, although the faces of the ruling class have changed over the past decades, but the fate of the people has not changed.

The followers of secularism – the “Young Turks” - of this country want to hide the ugly face of secular politics by calling BNP neo-fascist and want to grab political benefits. The question is, how will secular BNP be different from secular Awami League? And how will their secular party be different?

In the meantime, the people have not witnessed anything different from the traditional politics of Awami-BNP in their activities. A much-discussed journalist has tried to hide the anger of the people by calling this brutal murder an internal conflict in BNP, considering the incident as a BNP issue rather than a people's issue; just as BNP has condemned it as an isolated incident. Yet hundreds of their leaders and activists have been killed in power struggles in the last one year.

How can a politics that cannot create unity among leaders and workers unite the people? How can a politics that creates corrupt leadership instead of leadership with good character take care of the people? In this way, secular politicians and intellectuals are covering up the bankruptcy of their political philosophy of secularism. The people have brought about the downfall of the tyrant Hasina at the cost of many sacrifices; while the people are demanding a political settlement based on Islam, protecting the interests of the people and protecting the sovereignty of the country in the new Bangladesh, the politicians and intellectuals loyal to the West are eager to continue the same corrupt secular political settlement on the people in the name of reform. Allah (swt) says,

[وَإِذَا قِيلَ لَهُمْ لاَ تُفْسِدُوا فِي الأَرْضِ قَالُوا إِنَّمَا نَحْنُ مُصْلِحُونَ]

“And when it is said to them, ‘Do not create corruption on the earth,’ they say, ‘We are only reformers’” [Surah Al-Baqarah: 11].

Politics in Islam is a sacred duty, which is called ‘siasat’. The purpose of which is to ensure the welfare of the people by implementing the Islamic constitution, establishing justice, and protecting the Muslim Ummah from the military, economic and cultural domination of foreign powers; Above all, to spread the true ideals of Islam in the world. The Messenger of Allah (saw) said, «كَانَتْ بَنُو إِسْرَائِيلَ تَسُوسُهُمْ الْأَنْبِيَاءُ، كُلَّمَا هَلَكَ نَبِيٌّ خَلَفَهُ نَبِيٌّ، وَإِنَّهُ لَا نَبِيَّ بَعْدِي، وَسَيَكُونُ خُلَفَاءُ فَيَكْثُرُونَ»“The Prophets used to take care (siasat) the Children of Israel. Whenever a Prophet died, another Prophet would come in his place. But there is no Prophet after me. There will be Khaleefahs (Caliphs) will come after me, and their number will be many” [Bukhari and Muslim].

The secular politics imposed by the Western kafir colonialists is a disaster for the Muslim Ummah. Living under this system, on the one hand, we are witnessing the brutal death of countless of our brothers and sisters like Sohag and on the other hand, we are constantly increasing the wrath of Allah (swt) towards us. The people must unite with the sincere party Hizb ut Tahrir in the politics of establishing the Khilafah (Caliphate). Only Islamic politics will free Muslims from violence, fighting and politics of extortion-self-interest, and unite the people.
