On the 98th Anniversary of the Destruction of the Khilafah (Caliphate)
The Khilafah is the Ridhwan (Pleasure) of Your Lord, It is Your Glory and Success
(Translated)

The twenty-eighth of Rajab Al-Haram, is the anniversary of the painful memory, and great tragedy that befell upon the Muslims. It is the anniversary of the destruction of the Ottoman Khilafah (Caliphate) by the criminal Jew Mustafa Kamal with the help of the English.

On the twenty-eighth of Rajab, on the year 1342 AH, corresponding to the 3rd of March 1924, the Khilafah state (Caliphate), the symbol of the glory of the Muslims, was destroyed. It was the obligation upon the Muslims then, to rise and restore it by the force of the sword. It is not permissible for Muslims to live without the Khalifah for more than three days. Ninety-eight years and Allah’s Law is suspended, and the way of life of the Khilafah is missing, and our testimony to humanity is suspended. Ninety-eight years and Muslims suffer under the miseries of capitalism.

In this long period, Muslims have been subject to all types of humiliation; the state of the Muslim Ummah today is obvious to all: divided, weak, defeated, vanquished, standing in a state of confusion, its resources are plundered, its power is usurped, its sovereignty and leadership are absent, it is in the tail of the nations, its rulers are slaves for the Western colonial powers, they have no power and are defeated. The Ummah is not united by an Imam and is not lead by brave armies, it is not united by a state, it is a dead body and powerless, begging the Kuffar for the “crumbs” of living, although Allah (swt) has blessed it with all the treasures of the earth, and it holds the doctrine of "There is no god but Allah”, in its the hands is the Book of Allah and the Sunnah of Prophet Muhammad (saw), and it is not lacking numbers or tools.

It is by Allah heart wrenching to see the Ummah of Islam live the life of cattle, under the Kufr laws and its corrupt man-made systems implemented by the slave-rulers who caused the bitter taste of life and humiliation to the people in suspending the ruling by the Book of Allah and abandoned the Sunnah of His Prophet.

This is what is happening to the Ummah of Islam from the scourges and hardship of life, it is only because of its following the corrupt false concepts and policies of the Kuffar, and abandoning the greatest weapon that will restore its strength, glory and authority: the Islamic ideology with its doctrine, ideas, concepts and policy.

O you the best nation brought to mankind, O witnesses over the people; Allah sent Prophets and Messengers, each to their people before Prophet Muhammad (saw). They carried Allah’s call to them and will testify for them on the Great Day. Allah (swt) says:

(وَكَذَلِكَ جَعَلْنَاكُمْ أُمَّةً وَسَطاً لِتَكُونُوا شُهَدَاءَ عَلَى النَّاسِ وَيَكُونَ الرَّسُولُ عَلَيْكُمْ شَهِيداً)

“And thus we have made you a just community that you will be witnesses over the people and the Messenger will be a witness over you.” [Al-Baqara: 143]

O just nation, O nation of justice, are not you proud that Allah has chosen you to be His Dawah carriers to all people. Like your Prophet Muhammad (saw)? Is it not enough for you to be proud that you are the witnesses over mankind? Are not you proud that your Lord has honoured you by making you at the same level as the prophets in carrying the call? Are not you proud that the prophets and angels will be jealous of Allah’s love for you?

How can you deviate from the path? How can you refuse to carry the call when this is your message?! How can you sleep and your Lord has illuminated the way to you with this valuable Deen, which is not soiled by any falsehood ?

O supporters (Ansar) of this Deen, the helpers (Hawaris) of this age, where are you? Who will support this Deen? Who will bring Islam to implementation? Who will help the bereaved women? Who will be there for the orphaned children? Who is there for the dead and wounded, for usurped Palestine, for Al-Aqsa, for the trees and stones?

Since the absence of the sun of Islam, by the absence of the Khilafah state, your situation as you see doesn’t need explanation, you lost your compass, so your boat was lost in the sea, and more rowing will not benefit you, the Kuffar control your destinies, with the help of the Ruwaibidah (ignorant) rulers, who surrendered you to them, like sheep to their slaughter. They punished you with the worst torment, slaughtered your sons and women, and plundered your goods. The rulers sold their Akhira with the Dunya of others. They do not honor kinship or covenants they have with the believers. How can you be patient with this humiliation and shame and this loss?

Since the destruction of the Khilafah state we have become weak, is it not the time for the sons of the best nation to save their Ummah? Is it not time for the descendants of Khalid, Salahuddin and Abu Ubaida to restore the greatness of their great ancestors by establishing the Khilafah that liberates the country and the people, establishes the Deen, protects the dignity?

Yes, By Allah it is the time or else who is there for the Muslims today in the east and west except for the Khilafah (Caliphate)?

Say to the Kuffar that the Khilafah is our vital issue, we either have Khilafah or we perish. We will not abandon carrying this call whatever it costs. Say to them: By Allah if they set up the pillars of the gallows or we leave the work for the Khilafah, we will not leave it until Allah establishes it or we perish without it. We will not be like the children of Israel when they were cursed. And we will never lose sight of our duty after this day, we have known the way and found the compass in the Book of our Lord and the Sunnah of our Prophet (saw), we will restore the glory of the Ummah and its pride, we will establish our Khilafah by Allah's permission. The Khilafah will be established and will spread its justice and will fulfill the rights and carry the good for the whole of humanity.

We at the Central Media Office of Hizb ut Tahrir invite you to participate in the activities of the anniversary of the destruction of the Khilafah organized by Hizb ut Tahrir in various wilayat and regions, to urge the Ummah to work with us to resume the Islamic life by establishing the Khilafah state on the method of Prophethood, the promise of Allah (swt) and the glad-tidings of His Prophet (saw).

(يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا اسْتَجِيبُوا للهِ وَلِلرَّسُولِ إِذَا دَعَاكُمْ لِمَا يُحْيِيكُمْ وَاعْلَمُوا أَنَّ اللهَ يَحُولُ بَيْنَ الْمَرْءِ وَقَلْبِهِ وَأَنَّهُ إِلَيْهِ تُحْشَرُونَ)

“O you who have believed, respond to Allah and to the Messenger when he calls you to that which gives you life. And know that Allah intervenes between a man and his heart and that to Him you will be gathered” [Al-Anfal: 24]
