Female Prisoners in Jewish Prisons: Crime, Brutality, and a Cry for Help from People of Honor and Dignity
(Translated)
Prisoner organizations (The commission of Detainees Affairs, the Palestinian Prisoners' Club, and Addameer for Prisoner Support and Human Rights Association) issued a report on the occasion of International Women's Day, observed on the 8th of March each year. In the report, they stated: “The arrests of women, including minors, constituted one of the most prominent policies adopted by the occupation, unprecedentedly so after October 7th. The number of arrests among women after October 7th reached approximately (240). This figure includes women who were arrested in the West Bank, Jerusalem, and women from the occupied territories in 1948. There is no clear estimate of the number of women who were arrested from Gaza, as some were released later. However, it is certain that there are still women detained in the occupation’s military camps, subjected to enforced disappearance.”
The organizations further explained that "up to the issuance of this report, the number of female prisoners held in occupation prisons, the majority of whom are detained in Damon Prison, reached 60, including two minor prisoners, 24 mothers, 12 administrative detainees, 12 student prisoners, 11 prisoners facing diseases and health issues, including two injured prisoners. Furthermore, there are prisoners who are wives or mothers of prisoners and sisters and mothers of martyrs."
According to the report, women were arrested as hostages to pressure a family member to surrender themselves. These included wives of prisoners and martyrs, as well as elderly mothers over seventy years old.“The detention of women as hostages was accompanied by acts of torture, threats, including threats to kill the targeted family member or spouse. In addition to the assaults they endured during the arrest process, their homes were vandalized, and their children were terrorized, in addition to confiscating and stealing their money and jewelry.”
These reports and statistics indeed shame the forehead and squeeze the heart with anguish over the tragic conditions of women prisoners in the jails of the Jewish entity after the events of October 7, 2023, which reached the point of nude inspection, assault on their dignity, in addition to brutal torture. They affirm the reality of this criminal and cowardly entity that respects no believer and has no conscience. It does not differentiate in its crimes between women and men, young and old, and it preys on women and children, turning them into pawns for its aims and one of its "victories."
They glorify International Women's Day with false and deceitful slogans, while the situation of the women of the Blessed Land in the prisons and beyond is evident to everyone. This is the situation of the women of Gaza and what they are subjected to at the hands of the machinery of brutal crime, as is evident from the pictures and videos. But the women of the Blessed Land in general, and the women of Gaza in particular, do not cry out in despair. Their cause is one of Deen and faith, steadfastness and commitment to the land of the Isra and Mi'raj. Their cause is not a matter of rebellion against Deen and its laws, following women's laws and conventions such as CEDAW and Beijing. If it were so, we would have seen Western countries and their institutions raise hell and move to rescue them. However, they not only remain silent about these crimes but they are supporters and partners in their commission. Is there anyone left in the world, let alone in the Muslim countries, who is deceived by these slogans and their proponents?
O best Ummah brought forth for humankind:
Your sisters, your honor, are being criminalized, killed, wounded, imprisoned, tortured, and assaulted. They and their children are being starved, living in tents that offer no protection from the cold of winter. What are you doing, O Muslims?!
O Holders of Ranks and Medals, O People of Power in the Armies of the Muslims:
Your Prophet (saw) mobilized the Banu Qaynuqa' in defense of a woman whose modesty was violated by a Jew. Al-Mu'tasim prepared a mighty army and came on a swift horse in response to the cry of a Muslim captive, thus opening Amorium, and the sword proved more truthful than the words of books. Muhammad bin Qasim, responding to the cry of a Muslim woman, laid siege to the throne of the king of Sindh because he had captured the ships of Muslim women and taken them as captives. Qutaibah bin Muslim apprehended those who terrorized Muslim women and refused the treasures of gold and silver offered by the culprit as ransom for his life, declaring his famous words: "No, by Allah, will a Muslim woman ever be terrorized because of you." He ordered him killed. So, what will be written about you in the records of Allah, and what will be written about you in the pages of history?! Will you be written down as the weak-hearted and dishonorable, or will there be among you those who emulate these heroes and great leaders?! So, fear Allah regarding yourselves before it's too late.
