U.S. President Trump announced that he discussed joining the Abraham Accords during telephone conversations with the leaders of Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Qatar, Pakistan, Turkey, Egypt, Bahrain, and Jordan. He explained that, “after all the work done by the United States to try and pull this very complex puzzle together, it should be mandatory that all of these Countries, at a minimum, simultaneously, sign onto the Abraham Accords.”

The reactions of the Muslim rulers to these statements were shameful. Saudi Arabia stated that there must be “an irreversible pathway to a Palestinian state.” Turkey’s Foreign Minister revealed a Turkish vision for a regional security structure extending from Pakistan to the Gulf, including Turkey, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, and several Gulf states, with the possibility of Iran joining later. He indicated that the Jewish entity could find a place within this alliance if it recognized a Palestinian state on the 1967 borders. Turkey also conditioned its participation in the Abraham Accords on ending the killing of Palestinians and lifting restrictions on the people of Gaza in accessing food, shelter, medicine, and water. He further emphasized Turkey’s commitment to the two-state solution as the basis for any settlement. As for the others, none of them uttered a word, despite the fact that some have already signed these agreements, namely: the UAE, Bahrain, Morocco, Sudan, and Kazakhstan.

All the positions taken by the Muslim rulers are disgraceful, whether those who rushed to sign, those who imposed conditions for signing, those who signed secretly, or those who have not yet signed and remain silent as the grave. The essence of these agreements is the recognition of the Jewish entity on Muslim land, granting it legitimacy for its usurpation of that land, normalizing relations with it, and promoting the so-called interfaith dialogue.

The only legitimate solution to the issue of Palestine is its liberation and the removal of the Jewish entity from existence. Muslims will accept no other solution. Even if all rulers sign these agreements and normalize relations with the Jewish entity, their fate is to disappear when the Ummah rises against them, casts them aside, establishes its Khilafah (Caliphate), governs by the law of its Lord, liberates the occupied lands of the Muslims, carries Islam as a message of guidance, light, and justice to all humanity, and compels Trump and those like him to pay jizyah to the Caliphate State.

As for interfaith dialogue, Muslims throughout their long history have always been at the forefront of calling all people to dialogue based upon a common word:

[قُلْ يَا أَهْلَ الْكِتَابِ تَعَالَوْاْ إِلَى كَلَمَةٍ سَوَاء بَيْنَنَا وَبَيْنَكُمْ أَلاَّ نَعْبُدَ إِلاَّ اللّهَ وَلاَ نُشْرِكَ بِهِ شَيْئاً وَلاَ يَتَّخِذَ بَعْضُنَا بَعْضاً أَرْبَاباً مِّن دُونِ اللّهِ]

“Say: O People of the Scripture! Come to a word that is just between us and you: that we worship none but Allah, and that we associate no partners with Him, and that none of us shall take others as lords besides Allah”
[Surah Aal Imran :64], and engaged in intellectual and political struggle, calling people to the true religion revealed by Allah (swt):

[هُوَ الَّذِي أَرْسَلَ رَسُولَهُ بِالْهُدَى وَدِينِ الْحَقِّ لِيُظْهِرَهُ عَلَى الدِّينِ كُلِّهِ وَلَوْ كَرِهَ الْمُشْرِكُونَ]

“It is He who has sent His Messenger with guidance and the religion of truth to make it prevail over all religion, although the polytheists dislike it” [Surah At-Tawbah :33]. As for Abraham (as), he is innocent of the agreements attributed to him:

[مَا كَانَ إِبْرَاهِيمُ يَهُودِيّاً وَلاَ نَصْرَانِيّاً وَلَكِن كَانَ حَنِيفاً مُّسْلِماً وَمَا كَانَ مِنَ الْمُشْرِكِينَ]

“Abraham was neither a Jew nor a Christian, but he was one inclining toward truth, a Muslim, and he was not of the polytheists” [Surah Aal Imran :67].

There is no doubt that they seek to mislead people and dress falsehood in the garment of truth by attributing these agreements to Abraham (as) while he is completely innocent of them.

These rulers should instead have put an end to Trump’s statements and actions, had there been even one wise man among them. They should not have allowed him to speak on their behalf. They should have stopped him from interfering in Muslim lands, rather than becoming his humiliated followers in fulfilling his dreams of a new Middle East in which the Jewish entity becomes a normal part, enabling America to control the wealth, oil, gas, seas, and airspace of the Muslims.

The one capable of silencing Trump and putting an end to his arrogance and conceit is the rightly guided Caliphate upon the method of Prophethood, which will soon be established, by Allah’s permission. Muslims must make their decision and hasten to remove their rulers and appoint a single Caliph who will govern them by the Book of Allah (swt) and the Sunnah of His Messenger (saw). Hizb ut Tahrir is the truthful leader that does not deceive its people and carries the banner of the Caliphate, so hasten to work with it and support it.
