Denmark Consolidates Support for the Middle East’s Bloody Tyrannies

Egypt’s tyrant, Abdel Fatah Al Sisi, will make an official state visit to Denmark on December 7, 2024.

He seized power through a coup, has maintained his rule through massacres of peaceful protesters, and does not shy away from imprisoning and torturing his political opponents.

The Egyptian regime is a despotic regime of fear, oppressing its own population with iron and fire. It is directly complicit in the genocide in Gaza, enforcing a siege and starvation from the Egyptian side while the Jewish entity carries out its massacres.

Despite all this, this criminal is being received by the Danish royal couple with pomp and ceremony and welcomed by Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen, who describes the relationship as one of ”trustful cooperation.”

Meanwhile, the same Prime Minister demands that Muslims in Denmark either assimilate into the very values that frame an occupation’s genocide as self-defense or leave for home-countries whose despotic torturers are Mette Frederiksen’s trusted partners. For economic interests disguised as ”green transition” and reducing ”migration pressure,” despotism apparently is a low price.

Once again, Danish authorities reveal their nauseating cynicism and hypocrisy. This is far from the first time the Danish state has honored an obvious despot. Egypt’s former military dictator, Hosni Mubarak, was decorated by the Danish royal family with the highest Danish order, the Order of the Elephant, just as the King of Bahrain received the Grand Cross of the Order of the Dannebrog while popular protests raged across the Middle East. In 2022, Mette Frederiksen warmly welcomed India’s notorious mass murderer, Narendra Modi.

The Muslim community and all those with a sense of justice can only be appalled by the supposed values that drive official Denmark to pursue this policy of supporting bloody tyrants, which must be met with political resistance and protest.
