Alhamdulillah to Who completed for us the month of Ramadan, the month of fasting and Qiyām, the month of the Qur’an and discipline upon obedience to Ar-Rahman, and we ask Him (swt) to accept from the Muslims their fasting and their Qiyām, and to make them among those freed from the Fire.

We, in Hizb ut Tahrir / Wilayah Egypt, extend to our people in Egypt al-Kinānah, and to the Islamic Ummah as a whole, our sincere congratulations and blessings on the occasion of the blessed Eid al-Fitr, asking Allah to return it to them with their condition changed from weakness to strength, from division to unity, and from ruling by other than what Allah has revealed to ruling by His shariah.

O People of Egypt al-Kinanah: Ramadan has come to renew in the Ummah the meanings of obedience and submission to the command of Allah, so the Muslim refrains from the permissible in obedience to Allah—should that not be a motive for him to refrain from the forbidden in and politics and economics? Should it not be an incentive to return Islam to the reality of life, not that it remains confined to acts of worship and rituals?

Indeed, Eid in Islam is not mere joy, but rather joy in obedience, joy in submission to the command of Allah, and joy in steadfastness upon the truth. However, the joy of the Ummah today remains incomplete as long as it is ruled by other than what Allah has revealed, and its affairs are managed by man-made systems, and its wealth and resources are tied to its enemies.

O People of Egypt al-Kinanah: The greatest thing that we should carry from Ramadan is the awareness that Islam is not merely acts of worship, but rather a comprehensive system for life, which obliges us to work to establish its rule on earth, to make sovereignty for the Shariah not for people, and authority for the Ummah not for tyrants, so that our lands return to being a land of Islam and a land of honor and sovereignty. The Messenger of Allah (saw) taught us that change is not achieved by emotion alone, but by conscious political work disciplined by the method of the Shariah, based on carrying the dawah, holding rulers accountable, and working to establish the Khilafah (Caliphate) on the method of the Prophethood, which unites the Ummah, liberates its lands, and carries Islam as a message of guidance and light to the world.

O People of Egypt al-Kinanah: You are not incapable—you are the people of armies and the people of strength, and you are part of a great Ummah that possesses the capabilities and resources that make it able, by Allah’s permission, to resume the Islamic way of life.So be equal to this responsibility, carry Islam correctly, and work to return it to the reality of ruling, for that is the path of true honor.

In this Eid, we renew the covenant with Allah that we remain working to establish His Deen, patient upon the path of the dawah, steadfast upon the truth, not altering nor changing, until Allah fulfills His promise of succession and empowerment:

[وَعَدَ اللَّهُ الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا مِنْكُمْ وَعَمِلُوا الصَّالِحَاتِ لَيَسْتَخْلِفَنَّهُمْ فِي الْأَرْضِ]

“Allah has promised those who have believed among you and done righteous deeds that He will surely grant them succession upon the earth.” [An-Nur:55].

Allahu Akbar, Allahu Akbar, Allahu Akbar, La Ilaha Ila Allah, Allahu Akbar, Allahu Akbar, Wa Lillahi Alhamd

Eid Mubarak. May Allah accept your obedience, and make your Eid an Eid of honor and empowerment, not an Eid of defeat and waiting.
