Congratulations from Hizb ut Tahrir / Wilayah Iraq
On the Occasion of Blessed Eid al-Adha 1446 AH

Allahu Akbar, Allahu Akbar, Allahu Akbar, there is no god but Allah… Allahu Akbar, Allahu Akbar, and to Allah belongs all praise

The Media Office of Hizb ut Tahrir / Wilayah Iraq extends its warmest congratulations and blessings to the Islamic Ummah on the occasion of the blessed Eid al-Adha. We especially extend these greetings to the carriers of the dawah, and to the eminent scholar, the Ameer of Hizb utTahrir, Ata Bin Khalil Abu Al-Rashtah may Allah protect and preserve him and grant victory and empowerment through his hands.

O Muslims:This Eid comes like the ones before it, while your condition neither pleases a friend nor enrages an enemy ever since the destruction of the Khilafah(Caliphate)State at the hands of the criminal Mustafa Kemal. What kind of Eid is it while Gaza is being annihilated?! What kind of Eid while the noble women of the Muslims are being humiliated?! What kind of Eid while the lands of the Two Holy Mosques, to which pilgrims come answering the call of Allah, have turned into a place where immoralities are permitted, filled with corruption and depravity under the rule of incompetent leaders?!

O Muslims:While we rejoice in this Eid and our hearts long to respond to the call of the Lord of the Worlds by performing Hajj to His sacred house, our hearts are also filled with pain as we witness the state of the Islamic Ummah — the Ummah of goodness and guidance — in its current condition of loss and confusion, humiliation and degradation. The most despicable of people and the most cowardly of creation the Jews have tyrannized it, and their entity strikes left and right, deepening its crimes in Palestine, Lebanon, and Syria, with the support of the disbelieving West, the submission of the traitorous Muslim rulers, and the silence of the Muslim armies, as if they are dead. As the poet once said:"You would have been heard if you called out to the living… but there is no life in those you call!"

O Muslims:Just as Allah (swt) has obligated upon us the Hajj, prayer, zakat, and fasting, He has also obligated upon us to work for the implementation of His law and the establishment of the Khilafah. This obligation .is the crown of obligations because the establishment of all other collective obligations depends upon it. It is the Khalifah (Caliph) who implements the hudud (Islamic punishments), holds accountable those who neglect prayer or refuse to pay zakat, oversees the pilgrims, declares jihad, and mobilizes the armies to carry the dawah and support the oppressed among the Muslims.

O Ummah of Islam:You are an ummah worthy of leading the world, with your state being the foremost among all others, without rival, and capable of redrawing the map of global influence. This will not be achieved except through the establishment of this state. The time for change has come, the time for awakening after a long slumber has come. So rise, O Ummah of Islam, roll up your sleeves and hasten to work with those striving to establish the Khilafah your protective fortress and the crown of the obligations imposed by the Lord of the Worlds.
