The Wad Al-Noora Massacre Tells the Story of the People of Al-Jazeera
(Translated)

The Rapid Support Forces (RSF) carried out a heinous massacre in the village of Wad Al-Noora, which is located at the end of the extension of the Al-Jazeera [Gezira] and Al-Manaqil project and the beginning of the borders of the White Nile State. They killed dozens of unarmed civilians. There were conflicting statements of the death toll, between 100-140, while activists spoke of the killing of at least 200 civilians, according to what the Sudan Tribune reported on Wednesday, 5 June 2024.

This brutal massacre was not the first committed by the RSF whether in Darfur, Kordofan, or Al-Jazeera. In Al-Jazeera specifically, since the army withdrew from its capital, Wad Madani, in December of last year, the RSF have continued to wreak havoc in the villages of Al-Jazeera, killing, intimidating and plunder the people, this affected everything, including people’s daily sustenance, in light of the unjustified silence of the army commanders. What is even worse is that the Sovereignty Council issues a statement calling on the international community and human rights organizations to condemn and denounce the crimes of the RSF. This council forgets or claim to forget that it is responsible and no one else is for preserving people’s lives, honour and money!! And how will the condemnation of the international community and human rights organizations benefit our people in Wad An-Noura who lost their loved ones?!

You are appalling! Do you not know that the alleged international community led by America and the West is the one that stands today in support of the Jewish entity as it carries out its hideous massacres against our defenseless brothers and sisters in Gaza.

The state in Islam is responsible for the safety of the people, creating reassurance for them, and providing a decent living, including food, clothing, housing, medical care, and education. It does that and more, not out of favour, but rather because this is its duty for which it was created. The Messenger (saw) said:

«مَنْ أَصْبَحَ مِنْكُمْ آمِناً فِي سِرْبِهِ مُعَافًى فِي جَسَدِهِ عِنْدَهُ قُوتُ يَوْمِهِ فَكَأَنَّمَا حِيزَتْ لَهُ الدُّنْيَا»

“Whosoever begins the day feeling family security and is healthy in his body; and possessing food for his day is as though he possesed the whole world.”(Narrated by Al-Tirmidhi and others).

The Prophet (saw) embodied this Hadith on the ground when he was a ruler in the first Islamic state. The people heard a voice that frightened them, so they went out to find out what was the matter, and they found the Messenger (saw) preceded them... On the authority of Anas, may Allah be pleased with him, he said:

كَانَ النبيُ ﷺ، أَحسَنَ النَّاسِ وأجوَدَ النَّاسِ، وأشْجَعَ النَّاسِ، ولَقد فَزِعَ أَهلُ المَدينَةِ ذاتَ لَيلةٍ، فَانطَلَقَ النَّاسُ قِبَلَ الصَّوت، فَاستَقْبَلَهُم النَّبيُ ﷺ قَد سَبقَ النَّاسَ إِلَى الصَّوتِ، وَهُوَ يَقولُ: «لَن تُرَاعُوا، لَن تُراعُوا»، وهُو عَلى فَرسٍ لأبِي طَلحَة عُرْي مَا عَليهِ سَرْجٌ، وفِي عُنُقهِ السَّيفُ، فَقَالَ: «لَقد وَجَدتُهُ بَحراً، أَوْ إِنهُ لَبَحرٌ»

The Prophet (saw) was the best among the people (both in shape and character) and was the most generous of them, and was the bravest of them. Once, during the night, the people of Medina got afraid (of a sound). So the people went towards that sound, but the Prophet (saw) having gone to that sound before them, met them while he was saying, “Don't be afraid, don't be afraid.” (At that time) he was riding a horse belonging to Abu Talha and it was naked without a saddle, and he was carrying a sword slung at his neck. The Prophet (saw) said, “I found it (the horse) like a sea, or, it is the sea indeed.” (Narrated by Bukhari).

We in Hizb ut Tahrir / Wilayah of Sudan address this call to the army and its leaders: fear Allah, who will ask you on the Day of the Great Standing about this blood that was shed, the honour that was violated, and the money and property that were looted. You are not incapable of eliminating the Rapid Support Forces, but there are those who shackle your hands from reaching them, so do not obey them and obey Allah and His Messenger by removing your hands from obedience to those who disobey the Most Merciful and obey the disbelievers, and give Nusra (material support) to those working to establish the authority of Islam on earth; The Khilafah Rashida (Rightly Guided Caliphate) on the method of Prophethood. You will be among those who are successful on the day when neither wealth nor children will benefit except those who come to Allah with a sound heart.

[يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا اسْتَجِيبُوا للهِ وَلِلرَّسُولِ إِذَا دَعَاكُمْ لِمَا يُحْيِيكُمْ]

“O you who have believed, respond to Allāh and to the Messenger when he calls you to that which gives you life” [Al-Anfal: 24]
