Tanzania has been facing a political crisis since the election day of 29th October 2025 and afterwards for several days, resulting in loss of lives and destruction of property and infrastructures. Following this incident, we, Hizb ut Tahrir / Tanzania, would like to express the following:

26 September 2025 Miladi / 04 Rabi' al-Akhir 1447 Hijri after Friday prayer Hizb ut Tahrir / Tanzania organized a nationwide campaign reminding Armies of the Muslim world, Muslim Scholars and the Ummah in general of their obligation to save Gaza and not to desert it.

Last week, the European Union (EU) Parliament called on Tanzania to take several steps, including resolving what they called a politically motivated case against an opposition party leader, granting more political freedom through dialogue, making changes to election laws, respecting the right of parties to participate in free elections.

Recent ‘Gender equality’ workshop in Ngorongoro, Northern Tanzania raised concern on issue of some spouses from the patriarchal community being abandoned by their husbands who left their villages in search of employment ventures into urban centers, and in some cases do not trickle back to their families.
