Obituary of a Dawah Carrier

مِّنَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ رِجَالٌ صَدَقُوا مَا عَاهَدُوا اللَّهَ عَلَيْهِ فَمِنْهُم مَّن قَضَىٰ نَحْبَهُ]
[وَمِنْهُم مَّن يَنتَظِرُ وَمَا بَدَّلُوا تَبْدِيلاً
“Among the believers are men who have proven true to what they pledged to Allah. Some of them have fulfilled their pledge ˹with their lives˺, others are waiting ˹their turn˺. They have never changed ˹their commitment˺ in the least.” [Al-Ahzab 33:23]

Believing in the decree of Allah Almighty, Hizb ut Tahrir/ Wilayah Tunisia mourns to Muslims in general and to the Shabab of Hizb ut Tahrir in particular one of its loyal members, the brother:

Mohamed Adel Zarrouki – Kairouan

He passed away on the night of Saturday, January 9, 2026, at the age of 60, having spent his life in obedience to Allah Almighty and working with Hizb ut Tahrir to resume the Islamic way of life by establishing the Khilafah Rashidah (rightly guided Caliphate) according to the methodology of the Prophethood. He was a professor of history and a distinguished writer. He suffered from a chronic illness and passed away while believing in Allah, his Lord, and certain of His victory, patient, steadfast, and resigned to His will, as Allah Almighty says:

[قُلْ إِنَّ صَلاتِي وَنُسُكِي وَمَحْيَايَ وَمَمَاتِي لِلَّهِ رَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ]

“Say, “Surely my prayer, my sacrifice, my life, and my death are all for Allah—Lord of all worlds.” [TMQ Al-An’am 6:162].

We ask Allah to have mercy on our brother Muhammad Adel and to make his abode the highest Paradise with the prophets, righteous, martyrs, and good companions. We also ask Him, the Almighty, to grant us, his family, and his relatives patience, solace, and comfort.

[إِنَّا لِلَّهِ وَإِنَّا إِلَيْهِ رَاجِعُونَ]

“Surely to Allah we belong and to Him we will ˹all˺ return.” [TMQ Al-Baqara 2:156]
