[مِّنَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ رِجَالٌ صَدَقُوا مَا عَاهَدُوا اللَّهَ عَلَيْهِ فَمِنْهُم مَّن قَضَىٰ نَحْبَهُ وَمِنْهُم مَّن يَنتَظِرُ وَمَا بَدَّلُوا تَبْدِيلاً]

Hizb ut Tahrir / Wilayah Tunisia mourns the passing of one of its dedicated members, Brother and Uncle Hussein al-Tarkhani, who passed away on Monday, the 7th of Sha'ban 1447 AH, corresponding to 26 January 2026 CE. May Allah have mercy on him, he worked within the ranks of the party during the darkest times of oppression and tyranny. He remained steadfast in his mission, devoted to its dawah, calling for the Khilafah Rashidah (rightly guided Caliphate) based on the methodology of the Prophethood, confident in the promise of his Lord, the Almighty, and the glad tidings of His noble Messenger (saw), until his death. This is how we perceive him, and we do not presume to judge anyone before Allah.

We ask Allah Almighty to accept him among the righteous, to raise his rank in the highest heavens, and to inspire his family, relatives, loved ones, and all his companions on his path, with patience, steadfastness, and acceptance.

[إِنَّا لِلَّهِ وَإِنَّا إِلَيْهِ رَاجِعُونَ]

“Surely to Allah we belong and to Him we will ˹all˺ return.” [Al-Baqara 2:156]
