The Houthi Security Forces Continue to Pursue and Arrest Members of Hizb ut Tahrir
(Translated)

On 24/1/2026, Houthi security forces arrested Ahmed Sami' in al-Hawban, Taiz Governorate, while Saddam al-Makradi remains in detention since 26/11/2025. His arrest is not for any crime he committed, but simply because he joined his brothers, Hizb ut Tahrir members worldwide in exposing Trump's deal on Gaza!

These arrests coincide with Hizb ut Tahrir's commemoration worldwide of the destruction of the Khilafah (Caliphate) on 28 Rajab 1342 AH (3/3/1924 CE), urging Muslims everywhere to unite their efforts and work with the party to establish the second Khilafah Rashidah (Rightly-Guided Caliphate) on the method of the Prophethood. Allah (swt) says:

[إِنَّا لَنَنصُرُ رُسُلَنَا وَالَّذِينَ آمَنُوا فِي الْحَيَاةِ الدُّنْيَا وَيَوْمَ يَقُومُ الْأَشْهَادُ]

“We certainly help Our messengers and the believers, ˹both˺ in this worldly life and on the Day the witnesses will stand forth ˹for testimony˺” [Ghafir: 51].

This is what prompted the oppressive Houthi security authorities to arrest those calling for the Khilafah!

It is clear from the arbitrary actions of the security apparatus that it acts according to its whims, disregarding the Hukm Shari’. Otherwise, what charge could possibly justify the arrest of the members of Hizb ut Tahrir, who are working to eradicate the influence of the kaffir (disbelieving) colonizer with its laws, ideas, and agents, and to resume the Islamic way of life under a state that implements Islam, cares for the people's affairs, and unites Muslims of all schools of thought without discrimination? This state would deliver justice to the oppressed, punish the oppressors, and direct the Ummah towards its enemy, the kaffir West! Where are the rational effective members of the Houthi movement who can understand who Hizb ut Tahrir is, what its methodology is, and how it operates?

The implementation of Islam in all aspects of life is an obligation. Today, our battle with the disbelieving West is an ideological one, requiring first and foremost the rejection of the capitalist system in all its pillars and symbols, represented by the republican system and the secular constitution imposed on the people today in Yemen and the rest of the Muslim world. Therefore, Hizb ut Tahrir works within and alongside the Muslim Ummah, combating the ideas of the capitalist system by exposing their errors and corruption, such as secularism and absolute freedoms that have turned people into beasts, the corrupt and degenerate bonds of nationalism and patriotism, the economic system based on usury and the unlawful taking of people's money through taxes and customs, and other ideas that the disbelieving West promotes day and night.

Let not the security forces think that they are upholding justice and protecting rights by carrying out these arrests! Those who carry the call to establish the second Khilafah Rashidah are fulfilling the duty that Allah has obliged upon them, seeking His reward, and emulating the patience and steadfastness of Ammar ibn Yasir, Bilal ibn Rabah, and other Companions (may Allah be pleased with them) who were subjected to the harm and torture inflicted upon them by the Quraysh. These arbitrary arrests will not shake them or deter them from fulfilling their duty; rather, they will only increase their determination to move forward in establishing justice and protecting rights. The call to the Khilafah will not stop because of these actions; on the contrary, it will increase the spread of the idea and people's awareness of it. The duty of the security forces is to support Hizb ut Tahrir and implement Islam, and to direct their attacks toward the enemy of the Ummah: the kaffir colonial West, not against Hizb ut Tahrir and its members!

O our people in Yemen, from all walks of life—armies, tribesmen, scholars, and youth—isn’t it time for you to work with Hizb ut Tahrir to establish the second Khilafah Rashidah on the method of Prophethood, just as your forefathers, the Ansar from the Aws and Khazraj tribes, did when they supported the Messenger of Allah (saw) in Medina, so that you may attain the pleasure of your Lord as they did?

Allah (swt) says:

[يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا اسْتَجِيبُوا للهِ وَلِلرَّسُولِ إِذَا دَعَاكُمْ لِمَا يُحْيِيكُمْ]

“O believers! Respond to Allah and His Messenger when he calls you to that which gives you life.” [Al-Anfal: 24].
