We see the suffering of Muslims nowadays. We see the shedding of the innocent blood of the Ummah worldwide. We see the injustice and invasion of the Muslim countries through the unbelievers, and we see the hypocritical leaders of the Islamic world selling their Ummah and their Deen for a worthless price.
The month of Ramadan has approached us once again and is providing us the opportunity to avail all that we were not able to avail in previous Ramadans. Obligations that have a cycle always hold a chance of improvement.
Venturing Ramadan 1439 AH, there are many fitnah (affliction and trials) befall Muslims around the world. Starting from the opening of the US embassy in Jerusalem, to the terror bombing in Indonesia that led to anti-terror bill targeting activists and Islamic organizations.
As individuals, we have goals that we seek to achieve each day of our lives, whether in our education, at work, at home, with our family or children, or other aspects of our life. But what is the goal that we seek to achieve in Ramadan and how should that goal affect the rest of our lives?
