Lebanon Rape Law: Parliament Abolishes Marriage Loopholes

Lebanon’s rights activists had long demanded that Article 522 of the penal code be repealed. Article 522 allowed for halting the prosecution or suspending the conviction of a person who had committed rape, kidnapping or a statutory rape if he married the victim!

Their campaign was supported by the Minister for Women’s rights Affairs Jean Oghassabian, who said the law was like something from “Stone Age”. Similar legislation has recently been swept away in both Tunisia and Jordan. States retaining a comparable loophole include Algeria, Bahrain, Kuwait, Libya and Syria. [BBC]

Comment:

Despite all amazing scientific aggrandizement and technological achievements, art exaltation and industrial advancement, a quick cursory glance at the so called civilized democratic societies demonstrates nothing but endemic moral degradation, oppression and subjugation by the judiciary system as a consequence of the manmade laws, which have enslaved man to their own caprices and whims, that translate the erroneous concept of the capitalist ideology: survival for the fittest!

Unfortunately, since a woman, with all her sublime standings and positions in Islam, is purported to be the weak sex, almost all kind of miseries tend to befall upon her. Ranging from robbing her of her duty of taking care of her children to turning her into a sex toy through upholding the corrupt concept of personal freedom as advocated by the capitalist ideology. Thus, a majority of  commercial advertisements will have a semi naked woman posing with the advertised product!

Article 522 of the Lebanese penal code, came into the existence as a response to the Western corrupt call to shun the Divine Islamic legislation. According to the capitalist ideology, manmade laws liberate man from the shackles of the Divine legislation. Contrary to what the advocates of secularism, the manmade laws prove to be the kennel of all humiliation, subjugation and oppression. Painfully, by embracing the erroneous capitalist ideology as a surrogate ideology to Islam, the pangs of these vices painfully bite Muslims who wereunder the sublime Khilafah rule and who have never experienced a single of them but were seen as a western ghost!

The honour and dignity of a woman can only be guaranteed and safeguarded under the Islamic ruling system Khilafah (Caliphate) that implements the Islamic teachings which don’t require a majority win vote in endeavor to make them function.

Other than that, humanity will be faced with various kinds of social vices and moral degradation like rape, incest, prostitution, homosexuality and lesbianism; some of which are promoted and advocated in the capitalist ideology.
