In the Absence of the Khilafah Rashidah, Muslims Fight Muslims
News:
Pakistan’s Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Asim Munir has said that the only points of contention between Pakistan and Afghanistan are the presence of the banned militant Tehreek-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) outfit in the latter and cross-border attacks. The remarks attributed to the army chief were carried by state broadcaster PTV News and were reportedly delivered during his meeting with politicians from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province in Peshawar, on Tuesday, 14th January 2025 [Dawn].
Comment:
Relations between Pakistan and Afghanistan have been deteriorating consistently. Pakistan blames Afghanistan for not taking action against the TTP (Tehreek-i-Taliban Pakistan). The TTP has been regularly targeting security forces in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, bordering Afghanistan. Pakistan has conducted several air strikes inside Afghanistan on the alleged hideouts of the TTP. After every air strike, Afghanistan announces that civilians, women and children have been killed. Hatred between the Muslims of Afghanistan and Pakistan is at a high level. On 27 December 2024, the media wing of Pakistan’s armed forces confirmed that nearly 400 Pakistani soldiers, and over 900 tribal fighters, have been killed in counter-terrorism operations in 2024 [arabnews].
When American forces withdrew from Afghanistan on 15th August 2021, and Afghan Taliban took control over Afghanistan, there was a hope that relations between Pakistan and Afghanistan will improve. However, good relations between Muslims are not in the interest of America. America wants Muslims to fight each other, so that India is free to confront China and dominate the Muslims. It has established a world order on the basis of the nation states. It orders the maintenance of the nationalist borders, and forbids their removal. It orders the division of the Muslim World into over fifty states, and prevents their unification as one state. Thus, since the destruction of the Khilafah Rashidah (rightly guided Caliphate) on 28 Rajab 1342 AH, corresponding to 3 March 1924, throughout the Muslim World, Muslims are fighting Muslims. At the same time the rulers of Muslims prevent the armies from liberating Occupied Kashmir and Palestine.
The sad situation of the Muslim World is like that of the Al-Aws and Al-Khazraj in the era of tribalism, and the absence of ruling by Islam. There was no end to fighting between tribes. The major powers, the Romans and the Persians, dominated the world. However, once Al-Aws and Al-Khazraj abandoned tribalism and supported the ruling by Islam, they became one force against the forces of kufr. Within the era of the Khilafah Rashidah, the Muslims defeated the major powers, the Romans and the Persians, and then they became the leading state of the world. All this awaits Muslims if they abandon nationalism and tribalism, and appoint a single Khaleefah Rashid for all Muslims, from Indonesia to Morocco.
Let the Muslims of Pakistan and Afghanistan remember the words of the first Khaleefah Rashid, Abu Bakr as-Siddiq (ra). Ibn Ishaq narrates, that in his Khutba, Abu Bakr (ra) said, "وَإِنَّهُ لَا يَحِلُّ أَنْ يَكُونَ لِلْمُسْلِمِينَ أَمِيرَانِ، فَإِنَّهُ مَهْمَا يَكُنْ ذَلِكَ يَخْتَلِفْ أَمَرُهُمْ وَأَحْكَامُهُمْ، وَتَتَفَرَّقُ جَمَاعَتُهُمْ، وَيَتَنَازَعُوا فِيمَا بَيْنَهُمْ، هُنَالِكَ تُتْرَكُ السُّنَّةُ، وَتَظْهَرُ الْبِدْعَةُ، وَتَعْظُمُ الْفِتْنَةُ، وَلَيْسَ لِأَحَدٍ عَلَى ذَلِكَ صَلَاحٌ" “Indeed, it is not permitted for the Muslims to have two ameers. If that were to occur, there would be disagreement over their affairs and laws, the community of Muslims would be split and they would dispute with each other. That would result in the Sunnah being abandoned. Innovation (bid’ah) would appear, discord (fitnah) would be widespread, whilst none of that would be righteousness for any one.”
