31 YEARS OF RWANDA GENOCIDE AT GLANCE
News:
On 7th April 2025, Rwanda commemorated the 31st anniversary of the 1994 genocide. It is estimated that about one million Rwandans mainly from Tutsi tribe were killed within about three months of the genocide.
Comment:
The genocide is the expression of filthy exclusion ideology of capitalism in which through colonialism divided people whom were once lived together, united and cooperated.
With the arrival of colonialism by the end of 19th century CE, Rwanda like all other colonized states was divided upon tribalistic line (other states were divided upon religion, race, etc.) between the two main tribes of Hutu and Tutsi. After 1962’s flag independence the division which was planted and boosted by colonialism was ripen and timing bomb waited to explode.
At last, in the 1994 Genocide took place that was highly served the interests of the Western colonialists. The then mainly Hutu based President Habyarimana’s government was supported by Europe, mainly France, Belgium as well as Britain via Zaire (Congo DRC and Tanzania). On the other side, Tutsi based Kagame’s Rwandan Patriotic Front opposition rebels were enjoyed American support through Uganda.
Therefore, Western colonial nations pushed some East Africans rulers and rebels to engage in historical genocide while watching simply to serve their colonial and exploitative agenda shunning away their false slogans of proponents of human rights similar worst scenario that is taking place now in Gaza.
It is very unfortunate that 31 years later, what made the genocide to emerge in Rwanda is still existing. The genocide, colonial backed political coup, have and would never worked for the betterment of the people in Rwanda.
Rwanda is still wavering in higher division between the two main tribes - Hutu and Tutsi. It is not surprising that colonial hangover may necessitate another coup or genocide in the future to stabilize and further protect their interests.
Whatever the case, a plain truth is that to liberate Rwanda and global in generally alternate ideology is required which is Islam under its Khilafah (Caliphate) state. Since neither lying democracy nor brutal dictatorship would save Rwanda because both two sides are from similar coin of capitalism.
