Hizb ut Tahrir/ Wilayah Turkey Economic Conference in Şanlıurfa entitled, "The Islamic Solution to the Economic Crisis"

Hizb ut Tahrir/ Wilayah Turkey organized an economic conference in Şanlıurfa El Ruha Hotel Hall entitled, "The Islamic Solution to the Economic Crisis" for the 101 anniversary of the destruction of the Khilafah (Caliphate) on the 28th of Rajab 1342 AH.

With the Praise of Allah (swt) the people of Şanlıurfa city showed great interest in the series of conferences held by Hizb ut Tahrir / Wilayah Turkey under the title “Islamic Solutions to Economic Crises” the conference hall was full.

Mehmet Göçmen , started with the recitation of the Qur'an. Mustafa Küçük took the podium and greeted the guests with his opening speech. Dr. Abdurrahim Sen gave a talk on 'Islamic Solutions to Economic Crises' in which he gave examples of the 13 centuries of Islamic history, as well as engraving in the minds that the Islamic economic system is the most correct and successful system. He mentioned that the economic crisis that is currently sweeping across Turkey is the capitalist economic system, the inequality in income distribution, and statesman's betrayal of the state treasury entrusted to them, by citing both statistics and examples reflected in the public opinion. Dr. Şen stated that if only the rich give zakat in numbers, the people will be saved from misery, and that this is the duty of the state itself. He gave an example during the reign of the caliphate of Abu Bakr (ra) when the Islamic State declared war on those who did not want to give zakat.

After Dr. Sen speech Ust. Abdullah İmamoğlu, the author of the works 'Sunnah is the Source of Life in Islam and the Political Catechism of the Muslim' and the author of the Journal of Rooted Change, gave his speech entitled, 'The Applicability of the Islamic Economic Order'. Examples from the history of Islam, which reigned for 13 centuries, were presented to the guests. Ust. İmamoğlu also stated about the present day and explained how the rulers who practiced the secular capitalist order plundered the treasury without fear of Allah and clearly revealed the difference between the secular capitalism and the Islamic order.

We would like to thank the participants who participated in our conference and talk programs and showed great interest, our guests who listened patiently to the program for hours and our very valuable writers who traveled from city to city and told our people about our work called " Islamic Solutions to Economic Crises ", which was prepared with great effort.

We end with a Duaa that Allah (swt) to hasten the establishment of the rightly guided Khilafah, which will implement this new system.
