After the Crocus incident, there was an increase of the phenomenon of Islamophobia and pressure on the people of Central Asia inside Russia. Subsequently, an intensification of visits and contacts from officials of Western countries to the region was noted. It seems that Russia's bear policy, which sends another threatening message to the governments of Central Asian countries by intensifying pressure on migrants from Central Asia, has been viewed by the West as an opportunity.
