Khilafah Seminars and Communiqué The Fall of the Khilafah Demands Its Return

Upon the anniversary of the Fall of the Khilafah "Caliphate", 3 March 1924, corresponding to 28 Rajab 1342 AH, Hizb ut Tahrir Wilayah Pakistan held Khilafah "Caliphate" Seminars in the major cities of Pakistan. The theme of the seminars was "The Fall of the Khilafah "Caliphate" Demands its Return." Furthermore, Hizb ut Tahrir issued a booklet as a special Khilafah "Caliphate" Communiqué to the people of Pakistan, also entitled "The Fall of the Khilafah "Caliphate" Demands its Return". This Khilafah "Caliphate" Communiqué is a reminder to us about the centrality of the Khilafah "Caliphate" in our Deen and for our entire Ummah. It is an account of the struggle of our forefathers in the Indian Subcontinent to secure the Khilafah "Caliphate" and also the signs of the return of the Khilafah "Caliphate" amongst us. It is a call for all the Muslims to stand for Islam at a time when its Ummah is rising for its Khilafah "Caliphate".

RasulAllah (saw) said, "أطيب ريح في الأرض الهند" "The best wind in the land of the Hind." [Al-Hakim's Mustadrak] Without doubt, we are a Muslim people, Islam is our identity and purpose, our history and heritage, Islam is linked to the Indian Subcontinent deeply and inextricably, since the seventh century CE. And we regard the implementation of Islam as an obligation throughout our history. Even during the time of the British Raj, we mobilized to prevent the destruction of the Khilafah "Caliphate". We convened Khilafat conferences, raised funds to save the Khilafah "Caliphate", issued a Khilafat Rupee inscribed with translated verses of the Quran, published a Khilafat journal, attacked the British and helped the Uthmani Khilafah "Caliphate" against the crusader attacks. After the British Raj, it was our desire for Islam as a rule that mobilized us to make huge sacrifices for establishing a land for Islam, Pakistan. However, we were betrayed and have suffered over six decades of the man-made systems of democracy and dictatorship. And now as we languish under an American Raj, with Americans ordering and forbidding traitors within our military and political leadership, our desire for Islam has awakened with renewed vigor. It is now time for us to mobilize as a movement for Khilafah "Caliphate" to restore this Ummah to its rightful place.
