Speech of the Official Spokesman of Hizb ut Tahrir in Wilayah of Sudan

The Trial of the Members of Hizb ut Tahrir in Al-Obeid is a Continuation of the War on Islam
(Translated)

All praise is due to Allah, Lord of the worlds, and prayers and peace be upon the one sent as a mercy to the worlds, the leader of the righteous, and the commander of the radiant ones, our master and beloved Muhammad, and upon his family, his companions, and those who support him.

O noble brothers inside the hall, and those following the conference via live broadcast, peace, mercy, and blessings of Allah be upon you. May Allah accept from us and from you the fasting, the night prayers, and the righteous deeds.

We meet you today at this conference while noble brothers of ours are in detention in the city of Al-Obeid for nearly a month, awaiting an unjust and oppressive trial tomorrow, Sunday 22 February 2026, because they carried out a great duty and an obligation upon the necks of the Muslims, namely calling for the implementation of Islam under the Khilafah Rashidah upon the method of Prophethood.

Since the Khilafah (Caliphate) State was demolished 105 lunar years ago, the pace of the war on Islam has increased at the hands of the disbelieving colonialists, who divided the lands of the Muslims into weak cardboard mini-states whose mission is to serve the plans of colonialism and whose function is to prevent the unity of the Ummah upon the basis of the great Islam. They placed at the head of rule in them agents who carry out their orders; rather, they have themselves become the spearhead in its war against Islam and the dawah carriers. When the Ummah began to awaken and to seek the path of its revival, the disbelieving (kaffir) colonialists, headed by America, went mad. They made the events of September 11, 2001 a pretext to wage a military, political, and cultural war against the lands of the Muslims, and mobilized all the Muslim rulers, who carried out the task beyond what America had expected.

Sudan was not an exception. It engaged in America’s war on Islam and offered it sacrifices and loyal obedience. The Washington Times reported on 16/05/2016 a statement by the Chargé d’Affaires of the Sudanese Mission in Washington, Muawiya Othman Khalid, who now holds the position of Undersecretary of the Sudanese Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in which he said: “Sudan is considered a close partner of America in combating terrorism worldwide.” Worse than that, the State of Sudan mobilized its security, prosecutorial, and judicial apparatuses to serve America’s plan. I will demonstrate here with evidence and proof how the judiciary and the prosecutorial bodies have been politicized, to the extent that they violate their own laws and regulations in service of the regime, which in origin serves America that wages war on Islam under the name of the war on terrorism:

1- Following the shabab of Hizb ut Tahrir in the city of Al-Obeid holding a stand inside the courtyard of the Grand Mosque on Friday 27 Rajab 1447 AH, corresponding to 16/01/2026 CE, addressed by Ustadh Al-Nazir Muhammad Hussein, a member of Hizb ut Tahrir, reminding the Ummah of the crown of obligations, the Khilafah (Caliphate) and the obligation of working to establish it, the security services arrested four of the shabab of Hizb ut Tahrir. They were then released on Sunday 18/01/2026, and malicious reports were opened against them under Article (69) of the Sudanese Criminal Law (disturbing public peace and public tranquility). The shabab’s lawyer submitted a request for bail or dismissal of the report. Here the prosecution revealed its true nature as politicized and intent on keeping the shabab longer in detention. It ordered a reopening of the investigation and added three new articles: Articles (63), (67), and (126) of the Sudanese Criminal Law, which relate to violence, rioting, and takfir. This confirms the ill intent in fabricating charges, while they know with certainty that Hizb ut Tahrir and its shabab have no relation to violence, rioting, or takfir, and are far removed from them as far as the two easts and the two wests.

This is the position of the prosecution, which is supposed to be neutral and committed to the law a position not strange to it, as we have known it during barren years; it is no different from the security apparatus of the regime.

2- As for the judiciary, its matter was even more astonishing. The shabab’s lawyer requested from the judge that they be released on bail until the date of the trial set for Sunday 22/02/2026. The judge responded that he would not release them on bail until he hears from the investigator on the day of the trial. Have you ever heard of such a thing, unless the judiciary itself stands with the prosecution and the security services in keeping the youth for the longest possible time in detention, a punishment before trial?!

We are convinced that this corrupt reality will not be eliminated except by the State of Islamhe Khilafah. It alone establishes justice and removes oppression. Its ruler will not be an agent of anyone, and the prosecutorial and judicial bodies will not be tools for anyone; rather, all will adhere to the Shariah rulings.

3- Judiciary in Islam is informing of the Shariah ruling in a binding manner. The judge does not favor anyone, even if he were the Khalifah (Caliph) of the Muslims. The caliphs of the Ummah, when the Ummah had a Khalifah (Caliph) and a Khilafah (Caliphate), embodied this practically when the Commander of the Faithful, Ali ibn Abi Talib, may Allah ennoble his face and be pleased with him, stood in dispute with a Jew regarding a shield. The judge ruled the shield for the Jew, despite knowing that it belonged to the Commander of the Faithful, because the Commander of the Faithful did not have sufficient evidence.

Thus we were, and thus we shall return, Allah willing, under the Caliphate promised to us by the Almighty who said:

[وَعَدَ اللَّهُ الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا مِنكُمْ وَعَمِلُوا الصَّالِحَاتِ لَيَسْتَخْلِفَنَّهُمْ فِي الْأَرْضِ كَمَا اسْتَخْلَفَ الَّذِينَ مِن قَبْلِهِمْ وَلَيُمَكِّنَنَّ لَهُمْ دِينَهُمُ الَّذِي ارْتَضَىٰ لَهُمْ وَلَيُبَدِّلَنَّهُم مِّن بَعْدِ خَوْفِهِمْ أَمْناً يَعْبُدُونَنِي لَا يُشْرِكُونَ بِي شَيْئاً وَمَن كَفَرَ بَعْدَ ذَٰلِكَ فَأُولَٰئِكَ هُمُ الْفَاسِقُونَ]

“Allah has promised those who have believed among you and done righteous deeds that He will surely grant them succession upon the earth just as He granted it to those before them and that He will surely establish for them [therein] their religion which He has preferred for them and that He will surely substitute for them, after their fear, security, [for] they worship Me, not associating anything with Me. But whoever disbelieves after that – then those are the defiantly disobedient.” [An-Nur 24:55].

And which the Prophet (saw) gave glad tidings of its return after the era of coercive rule whose last days we are living, Allah willing:

«ثُمَّ تَكُونُ مُلْكاً جَبْرِيَّةً فَتَكُونُ مَا شَاءَ اللَّهُ أَنْ تَكُونَ، ثُمَّ يَرْفَعُهَا إِذَا شَاءَ أَنْ يَرْفَعَهَا، ثُمَّ تَكُونُ خِلَافَةً عَلَى مِنْهَاجِ النُّبُوَّةِ. ثُمَّ سَكَتَ»

“Then there will be a tyrannical kingship and it will remain as long as Allah wills it to remain. Then He will lift it when He wills to lift it. Then there will be a Caliphate upon the method of Prophethood.” (Musnad Ahmad)
